An extremely hard to find gorgeous Antique Dresser Set. It has been lovingly handpainted by the artist in the soft pastel colors.
It consist of GDA Limoges(Gerard, Dufraisseix, and Abbot, Limoges, France),Bavaria, & French Limoges pieces.
Artists of the era purchased imported blank pieces of Limoges and other European Porcelain. They chose and purchased blanks based on individual needs, tastes, and interests. As a result, most dresser sets will have different factory maker marks on each piece that the artist had hand picked & put together to complete their set. This dresser set is hand painted by the same artist. The resulting set is a fine example of decorated porcelain by an early 20th Century American Artist that should be proudly and lovingly displayed.
The set has very desirable pieces. It includes the hat pin holder, hair receiver, covered oblong pin or trinket box, and a large round trinket box or powder jar. These pieces are all highly sought out by porcelain collectors! The painting is well executed and the color combinations are just lovely. Each piece is accented with Roman Coin gold, adding another level of beauty and elegance to this set. All pieces are beautiful examples of items used in the Art Nouveau boudoir. Circa 1900.
